Game Play: First Turn
First Turn of the Game
-
All players roll 1 dice.
-
Player with the highest roll goes first.

-
Starting with Player 1, each player rolls their move dice (two white dice).
-
The player that rolled their Move Dice then grab that many Z Tokens and places on his/her Z Token Resource Tracker.
-
When all players have completed this step, that concludes the "First Turn".
-
See the next section for Main Turn Steps.
Game Play: Main Turn Steps

-
Zombie Wave! Roll the Resource dice (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange). This is your character roaming the streets of Zombie City mowing down hordes of zombies.
-
All players collect the resources corresponding with the dice and the Z Tokens on their Resource Tracker.
-
If a player owns the Resource Master Super Trait, that player rolls the Resource dice again, but ONLY they collect the corresponding resources (if any).
-
-
If <= 3 Players, repeat Steps 1 and 2.

-
Initiate trades with other players.

-
If player defeats the Super Zombie, player collects the Super Zombie figurine as their SZ Trophy.
-
If the player is defeated by the Super Zombie, AND play is NOT the Alpha Indestructible, player cannot Attack any more this turn and player loses 1 Super Upgrade (in the following order):
-
Armor
-
-
If player has no Super Upgrades, player must discard one Z Token from their Resource Tracker.
-
-
-
-
Rolling 5s: Player can choose to Attack one other player per 5 rolled (cannot fight the same player more than once).

Attacking
Who Can Players Attack?
Players can choose to attack Super Zombies or other players.

The way to do that is by rolling a 6, (Super Zombie) or a 5 (other players) when rolling Move dice (white).

Example 1: if a player rolls two 6s as part of their Move roll, and there are two Super Zombies in play, that player can choose to attack one Super Zombie at a time. If the player defeats the Super Zombie, he/she can choose to attack a second Super Zombie (because two 6s were rolled). If the player loses the first fight, they can no longer attempt any other attacks. The only caveat is if the player owns the Alpha Indestructible Super Trait. In which case, the player could choose to attempt a second attack.

How to Attack
When attacking, the player rolls all their available Attack dice (black). Another player rolls the Attack dice for the Super Zombie (always 6).

Whoever has the highest roll (minus any Armor upgrades) wins.

Tie always goes to the defender.

Example 1:
-
Player has no armor upgrades.
-
Player rolls for a total Attack of 18.
-
Zombie rolls for a total defense of 12.
-
Player wins the fight and collects the Super Zombie as a trophy.

Example 2:
-
Player has 2 Armor Upgrades.
-
Player rolls for a total Attack of 14.
-
Zombie rolls for a total defense of 17.
-
Subtract 4 (-2 Hit Damage for each Armor Upgrade) from the Super Zombies 17, and the actual total is 13.
-
Player wins the fight and collects the Super Zombie as a trophy.

Example 3:
-
Player has 3 Armor Upgrades and the Alpha Indestructible Super Trait.
-
Player rolls for a total Attack of 21.
-
Super Zombie rolls for a total Attack of 32
-
Subtract 6 (3 Armor Upgrades at -2 Hit Damage each) from the Super Zombie's 32, and actual total is 26.
-
The player is defeated, but because the play owns the Alpha Indestructible Super Trait (only exception), they don't lose any upgrades or Z Tokens and, if they rolled more than one 6 Move dice, they can choose to attack again (if there's another available Super Zombie in play). Or they can choose to attack another player.

Example 4:
-
If the player and the Super Zombies Attack/Defense totals are the same, the Super Zombie wins (tie always goes to the defender).

Whenever a player is defeated by a Super Zombie, and does NOT own the Alpha Indestructible Super Trait, the player CANNOT attempt any other attacks that turn and loses ONE of the following. Starting at the top, if the player does not own it, the player loses the next item instead and so on and so forth:
-
1 Armor Upgrade
-
1 Speed Upgrade
-
1 Weapon Upgrade
-
1 Z Token

If the player owns none of the above, there is no effect to the defeat other than the player cannot attempt another attack that turn (see "only exception" above).
